Privacy Policy

This policy explains which personal data we process through the KaçaGiderim mobile app and the kacagiderim.com website, why and on what legal basis we process it, who we share it with, and how you can exercise your rights.

1. Data controller

2. Data we process

Account data: e-mail address, first and last name, profile photo and sign-in method (e-mail, Google, Facebook or Apple). We do not collect national identity numbers; the optional field that existed in earlier versions of the app has been removed.

Vehicle data: the make, model, year and usage of the vehicles you add, plus the licence plate if you choose to enter it.

Expense and fuel records: date, amount, litres, mileage, fuel type, expense category and the station you selected, if any.

Routes and location: the start and end points of routes you calculate, the route geometry and its computed cost; the places and favourites you save. To show nearby stations we use your device's current location if you grant permission — that location is not stored on our servers.

Reminders: the maintenance, inspection and insurance reminders you create.

Subscription and payment records: the subscription you purchased, its start and end dates, and the store transaction identifier. We never receive your card details; payment is handled entirely by the Apple App Store or Google Play.

Content you submit: photos you send for the vehicle catalogue and the request or feedback text you write. Photos are not published until an administrator approves them.

Technical data: IP address, device and operating system details, app version, a device identifier used to deliver notifications, crash reports, usage statistics and the advertising identifier.

Camera: if you use receipt or registration scanning, camera access is requested. The image is converted to text on your device; the photo itself is not sent to our servers.

3. Purposes and legal bases

Performance of a contract: creating your account, storing your vehicle and expense records, computing fuel consumption and route costs, and managing your subscription.

Legitimate interests: fixing errors, keeping the service secure, preventing abuse and improving the product.

Consent: personalised advertising, usage analytics and push notifications. You can withdraw these permissions at any time from your device settings or within the app.

Legal obligation: payment and invoice records we are required to retain by law.

4. Third-party services

The app uses the services below. They process data under their own privacy policies; apart from these we do not sell your personal data or share it for marketing purposes.

Google AdMob — advertising; processes the advertising identifier.
Google Firebase Analytics — usage statistics.
Google Firebase Crashlytics — crash reports.
Google Maps and Places — maps, address search, nearby stations.
Google ML Kit — receipt and registration text recognition (runs on device).
Google, Facebook and Apple sign-in — authentication.
OneSignal — push notifications.
Cloudinary — hosting of vehicle and station images.
Amazon Web Services — server and file infrastructure.
Apple App Store / Google Play — subscriptions and payments.

5. International transfers

The providers listed above may operate servers outside Turkey. Your data may therefore be processed abroad to the extent necessary to deliver the service.

6. Retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your personal data is deleted without delay. Only records we are legally required to retain (for example payment and invoice records) are kept until the end of the applicable statutory period, and deleted thereafter.

7. Security

All connections are encrypted (HTTPS). Passwords are stored as irreversible hashes, never in plain text. Server access is restricted. Even so, no transmission over the internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.

8. Children's data

The app is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe such data has been collected, please contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your rights

Under Turkish data protection law (KVKK art. 11) you may: learn whether your personal data is processed; request information about it; learn the purpose of processing and whether it is used accordingly; know the third parties, in Turkey or abroad, to whom it has been transferred; request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data; request erasure or destruction; request that such actions be notified to the third parties concerned; object to adverse outcomes produced by automated analysis; and claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

If you are in the European Union, under the GDPR you also have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection.

10. Changes

This policy may be updated. The current version is always published on this page and the "last updated" date above changes accordingly.
